About the Legal Administrative Assistant Position

We are a Salem Personal Injury Law Firm that deals in medical records and insurance issues. We are looking for a Paralegal/Legal Administrative Assistant who has experience with either insurance, OR medical records, ideally both.

If you have previous experience in those fields and are looking to make a change into law, this might be the right fit for you!

Legal Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Interview clients for case histories before meetings

  • Update and manage client records

  • Help clients with initial paperwork

  • Schedule and coordinate appointments

  • Understanding insurance claims and compliance with law requirements

  • Use legal software to support attorneys.

  • Control receivable and payable accounts and maintain financial records

  • Answer clients’ queries and ensure excellent customer service

  • Collaborate with attorneys and paralegals to help with client onboarding, schedule meetings, and order office supplies

  • Keep up-to-date with changes in medical coding and insurance legislation

Legal Administrative Assistant Requirements:

  • Proven work experience in medical coding and or billing.

  • Proven work experience working with insurance.

  • Hands-on experience with medical software and MS Office

  • Experience with healthcare operations

  • Understanding of medical and insurance legislation

  • Superior organizational and multitasking skills

  • Client-oriented communication skills
